Gombak, 14 October 2026 — Researchers from the Centre for Unmanned Technologies (CUTe), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), have successfully concluded their Final Presentation and Site Visit sessions for the IMAP Grant, held on 13 and 14 October 2026 at the Kulliyyah of Engineering (KOE).
Organised in coordination with the Research Management Centre (RMC), the evaluation sessions assessed project milestones, research deliverables, and commercialization potential across multiple engineering domains.
Key presentation and evaluation highlights involving CUTe researchers included:
Dr. Marmeezee: Delivered the research project presentation followed by an on-site laboratory visit.
Dr. Abd Halim: Presented key project outcomes and hosted the evaluators for a site inspection.
Dr. Hasan Firdaus: Successfully delivered the project final presentation alongside an interactive live product demonstration illustrating the practical viability of the research prototype.
The site visits allowed the evaluation panel to witness functional prototypes, testing rigs, and laboratory capabilities firsthand.
Through active engagement in competitive national and internal grant programs such as IMAP, CUTe reaffirms its dedication to fostering multidisciplinary innovation, advancing autonomous and control systems, and translating academic findings into scalable technological solutions for the Ummah and industry.
