Kuala Lumpur, 19 October 2026 β€” Representatives from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), led by members of the Centre for Unmanned Technologies (CUTe), the Office of Industrial Links (OIL), and the Kulliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design (KAED), held a strategic engagement session with Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB) on 19 October 2026 at Menara Allianz Sentral, Kuala Lumpur.

MRCB, a major publicly listed urban property development and construction giant, hosted the IIUM delegation to examine actionable avenues for technological integration across its civil, structural, and commercial portfolios.

Key areas of strategic dialogue included:

Applied Artificial Intelligence (AI): Deploying computer vision, automated monitoring, and predictive analytics in property development and site operations.

Smart Built Environments: Fostering interdisciplinary integration between architecture, environmental design, and autonomous technologies.

Joint R&D Pipelines: Formulating sustainable Proof-of-Concept (POC) projects that connect academic researchers directly with on-ground industrial applications.

The university delegation was represented by Dr. Hasan Firdaus and Dr. Hasmawati representing CUTe, alongside Dr. Saiful and Dr. Syahirin representing OIL and KAED.

This multidisciplinary engagement highlights CUTe’s commitment to breaking research silos, combining unmanned systems and AI expertise with national construction leaders to drive resilient, future-ready infrastructure.
