The International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) continues to expand its global academic network through a strategic collaboration with Lords Institute of Engineering & Technology, India. On 10 February 2026, the Department of Mechatronics Engineering successfully formalized this partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The department proudly congratulated Dr Hasan Firdaus and his team for their efforts in establishing this meaningful collaboration, which is expected to enhance academic and research opportunities between both institutions.

The MoU marks a significant step toward strengthening cooperation in areas such as joint research, academic exchange, and knowledge sharing. Through this partnership, both IIUM and Lords Institute of Engineering & Technology aim to foster innovation and create impactful contributions in the field of engineering and technology.

Following the signing ceremony, the delegation was invited to visit the CUTe Lab at IIUM. The visit provided an opportunity for both parties to explore the university’s research facilities, exchange insights, and discuss potential collaborative projects, particularly in the field of mechatronics engineering.

This collaboration reflects IIUM’s strong commitment to international engagement and academic excellence. By building partnerships across borders, IIUM continues to position itself as an active contributor to the global engineering and research community.
