CUTe (Centre for Unmanned Technologies) at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) recently hosted 23 students from Lords Institute of Engineering & Technology (LIET), India, for a 15-day international internship program, reinforcing IIUM’s commitment to global academic engagement and industry collaboration. The cohort included four female students, reflecting the growing diversity in engineering education.

The program, conducted from 19 September to 4 October 2025, featured a series of intensive workshops led by Dr. Hasan Firdaus. Participants received hands-on training in cutting-edge areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Deep Learning, Computer Vision, and Real-Time Systems, equipping them with practical, industry-relevant skills.

Organized in collaboration with CUTe and leading Malaysian technology company Delloyd R&D Sdn Bhd, the program bridged academic knowledge with real-world applications, preparing students to meet the demands of advanced technological industries.

This initiative reflects CUTe’s commitment to producing globally competent engineers and advancing innovation in unmanned technologies, AI, and robotics. By hosting international internship programs and strengthening cross-border partnerships, CUTe continues to enhance students’ practical knowledge, improve career prospects, and build a foundation for future research collaborations.
